Mohammad Rakibul Hasan
Mohammad Rakibul Hasan, based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, is a renowned documentary photographer, filmmaker, and visual artist. His work explores diverse themes such as human rights, social development, and the environment. Hasan has earned numerous international nominations and awards, including the prestigious Lucie Award, One World Media Awards, Human Rights Press Award, Allard Prize, and IPA Discovery of the Year in 2018 for his "I am Rohingya" project. His photography projects have been showcased in prominent exhibitions and festivals worldwide, such as Photo Basel, Shanghai Photo Festival, and Berlin Photo Festival, among others He currently serves as a visual journalist for reputable organizations like ZUMA Press, Redux Pictures, and Thomson Reuters Foundation, while also working as a consultant photographer and filmmaker for various international agencies including WHO, UN Women, and World Bank.
Shoeb Faruquee
Shoeb Faruquee, in Patiya, Chittagong, Bangladesh, is a revered "Photo Artist" renowned for his global impact. In 2002, he founded the groundbreaking "Photo Bank Gallery," Chittagong's first stock photo agency, followed by the esteemed "PhotoArt Institute" in 2004, revolutionizing photography education. His acclaimed series, such as the "Ship Breaking Yard in Chittagong," has been exhibited internationally, including at the World Press Photo Award Days in Amsterdam in 2005. With over 100 international awards, including a 2nd prize in the 48th World Press Photo Contest, Faruquee's influence is evident in noteworthy exhibitions like "Chirayata Chattogram" in December 2018. Additionally, he has played pivotal roles in photographic societies, serving as General Secretary of the Chittagong Photographic Society and Vice President of the Bangladesh Photographic Society, while advising and teaching at prestigious institutions
Jannatul Mawa
Jannatul Mawa is a versatile individual with a diverse educational background and a successful career in both literature and photography. Mawa holds an MA in Bengali Literature but transitioned to photography after graduating from Pathshala - South Asian Media Institute. Starting with UNICEF, she has since showcased her work globally, including at Emory University, Drik Gallery, and prestigious festivals like ChobiMela. Her participation in events like the Asian Women Photographers’ Showcase, Obscure Photo Festival, and Delhi Photo Festival highlights the diversity of her portfolio and her engagement with global photographic communities. Mawa’s work ‘Finding Neverland’ was published in the book 'Under the Banyan Tree' by Pathshala and other works were published in Le Monde, The Guardian, etc. Mawa has won awards from The Daily Star, ACI-Persona, KLPA, and others for her impactful storytelling through photography.
Terms and Conditions
1. The Photograph submitted should be owned by the person who is submitting the image.
2. The photograph should be related to the theme, that is 'Kolpona'. Anything that reflects your imagination- it could be a scenery, portrait, moments, celebrations & everything that your imagination can picture. It's mandatory to give 3-5 lines description of your picture in visual story section.
3. No multiple/ collage photographs are allowed.
4. Only one photograph per participant is allowed in the Single & Mobile Photography Section. Participants can submit once in every segment.
5. More than that will not be counted & the photographer will be disqualified.
Eligibility
The competition is open for professional and amateur photographers (national and international).

Single Photographs
1. Each participant can submit 1 single photo. 2. Each (single) photo should be renamed to: ___ [e.g Sumaiya_+8801xxxxxxxxx_Single Photography_Muse] 3. Photographs can be in black and white or in color. Only digital files are accepted. 3. Files have to be in JPEG or JPG format. 4. For single photo submission, there must be at least 3000 pixels on the longer side. Minimum resolution is 300dpi.
Mobile Photographs
1. Each participant can submit 1 mobile photo. 2. Each (mobile) photo should be renamed to: ___ [e.g Sumaiya_+8801xxxxxxxxx_Mobile Photography_Muse] 3. Photographs can be in black and white or in color. Only digital files are accepted. 4. Files have to be in JPEG or JPG format. 5. For mobile photo submission, there must be at least 2400 pixels on the longer side. Minimum resolution is 240dpi.

Photo Series
1. For this category, we will take up to a maximum of five photos per story. 2. The best photo series will contain a collection of photographs where a common theme is incorporated. 3. Send in each photo story in a .zip format. 4. Each picture of the photo series should be renamed to: ___ [e.g Sumaiya_+8801xxxxxxxxx_Photo Series_Muse] 5. Photographs can be in black and white or in color. Only digital files are accepted.
